Dr. Jason Grady Returns to Manhattan
Dr. Jason Grady graduated from KSU College of Veterinary Medicine, where his career in veterinary medicine was heavily influenced by his rotations in equine medicine and reproduction.
After graduation, Dr. Grady practiced near Tulsa, Oklahoma, for two years before returning to Kansas State University for a three year equine internal medicine residency program. After completing the residency program he returned to the Tulsa area and practiced in a general ambulatory/referral clinic focusing on equine internal medicine and reproduction, while also providing general preventative medicine for an additional six years. Dr. Grady also gained board certification in internal medicine following his residency.
In July, Dr. Grady returned to the VHC as clinical assistant professor of equine theriogenolgy and field service. “The VHC has a great reputation as a clinical and teaching hospital. The clinicians and staff throughout the hospital provide an outstanding service to both clients and patients and an excellent education to students. When the opportunity arose to return to Kansas State University and the VHC, it was an easy decision for my family and me. I am excited to be able to provide basic and advanced clinical equine reproductive services for our clients and work closely with referring veterinarians, while providing a positive learning experience for the students.”
Dr. Grady is excited to bring his experience in private practice and knowledge of horses in all disciplines to the VHC. “I am well aware of the demands on private practitioners. This invaluable experience will enable me to provide clients and referring veterinarians with open communication, mutual respect and honesty while providing compassionate care for their horse. It is important to me that clients feel well informed when making decisions regarding their horse, and that our students gain valuable knowledge from each case they see.”

Dr. Amanda Trimble, equine internal medicine resident, originally from Baltimore, Maryland, grew up riding hunters and jumpers on the local circuits, and eventually rode in the IHSA for Dickinson College.
Dr. Trimble received her BVMS, MRCVS (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Science, Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, UK. She completed an internship last year at the University of Missouri.
"After my internship, I knew I wanted to stay in the Mid-West, and the VHC has a wonderful reputation and internal medicine residency program," Dr. Trimble said.
She looks forward to meeting clients at the VHC. "Your horse is a well-loved family member. They deserve the highest standard of care, all of our energy, resources, knowledge, dedication, and time. I believe the client should be involved in every step of the way during their horse's time here, and open and frequent communication between us is critical."

Dr. Michelle Tucker grew up pleasure riding in Lexington, Kentucky. "We had a variety of horses on our family farm-from ponies to draft horses, and I have my grandfather to thank for passing on the love of horses."
Dr. Tucker received her DVM from Texas A&M and chose to continue her equine surgery training at the VHC. "The VHC is the whole package-the faculty seek not just expertise, but excellence in patient care, client service, and teaching."
Dr. Tucker will contribute her knowledge and continue to train under the VHC's expert surgeons. "I hope to provide not just service, but care to my patients and clients. Every horse and client are individuals and as such, they deserve the best care that works for them."
