The rich history of the Veterinary Health Center began in a small clinic in 1906. More than 100 years of commitment to the human-animal bond and the health and welfare of animals have brought incredible advances in technology, medicine, veterinary training and patient care.

Today, we are proud to offer high quality care from more than 50 veterinarians in our state-of-the-art 185,000 square foot facility. Each year, these clinicians, many of whom are board certified in specialty fields, treat more than 23,000 patients from across the MidWest.

The VHC provides animal health services ranging from annual wellness exams for companion animals, equine and farm animals, to specialty services by board certified veterinarians in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, radiology, reproduction, and exotic and zoological medicine.

The VHC is a place of healing, learning and growing. Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine fourth year students receive critical training and provide invaluable support to the VHC and its patients through their final year of veterinary school. Interns and residents seek out the VHC for advanced training under some of the nation’s leading specialists. Patients and clients receive unparalleled routine, emergency and specialty care and the VHC is also home to many researchers who are focused on finding treatments and cures to both human and animal diseases.
