Small Animal Medicine Residency

The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University offers a 3 year small animal medicine residency with optional MS degree. The resident will participate in all aspects of the service (including clinical teaching and research). There is no primary emergency duty, but residents share back-up duties. The residency program is designed to meet all of the requirements of the ACVIM for board-certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine and is focused on a diverse and in-depth clinical training experience.

Resident candidates are selected through the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians (AAVC) Veterinary Internship and Residency Matching Program (VIRMP). Information about position availability, program descriptions and forms needed to apply can be found at the VIRMP web site.
