Ophthalmology Residency

The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University offers a three year ophthalmology residency which combines residency training with graduate work leading to the M.S. Degree. The goal of the program is to prepare the resident to pursue an academic career if desired. During the training program it is expected that the resident will become qualified to take the certifying examination of the American Board of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ABVO) and will have completed the course work and research needed to defend for a M.S. degree. This intense training program requires the successful applicant to have established an excellent academic record and to have achieved intern level or greater clinical competency.

Resident candidates are selected through the Ophthalmology Resident Choosing Associations (ORCA) rules. Information can be found at the AVCO website.
