Food Animal Internship

The Food Animal Internship at the Veterinary Health Center is a 12-month post-DVM clinical program. The internship will provide a clinical experience designed to afford maximal contact with a diverse selection of case material in both an ambulatory/field services practice and a hospital/referral practice. The objective is to advance the intern's clinical skills through interaction as a team member with their colleagues specializing in surgery, internal medicine, field service and production medicine.

Intern and resident candidates are selected through the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians (AAVC) Veterinary Internship and Residency Matching Program (VIRMP). Information about position availability, program descriptions and forms needed to apply can be found on the VIRMP website.
